11 Mastermind Questions and Answers

Hi, thanks so much for checking out more about Impact Mastermind Group. I’m Mike Mancini, one of the co-founders. I don’t want to waste any of your time, I want to go through some of the most frequently asked questions and give you some answers to those, right now.

When does the price for the mastermind group go up?

Right now, we have dropped our price because of the COVID-19 situation. It’s one of those where we thought that there’d be a lot of people who are looking, and there are a lot of people, and we wanted to open up the groups to as many people as possible. If you do sign up under that price, you are grandfathered in for as long as you are a member.

When are the meetings?

Right now, all mastermind meetings are on Tuesday mornings. They start at 8:00 a.m. Pacific time, which is 10:00 a.m. Central, and 11:00 a.m. Eastern. They are every week, and no, there is not an attendance policy. We understand people have lives, they have jobs, they can’t make every single meeting, totally fine.

Can I try out a meeting?

Absolutely. If you go through and you sign up and, after your first meeting, you decide it’s not for you, you just let us know. We will refund 100% of your fee, no questions asked.

How many people are in a mastermind group?

In a group, there are typically 10 to 12 people that are actually there every day. The groups might be bigger as a whole (15 to 20 people total). But on average, we have found that there’s about 8 to 12 people that will show up every single week, and that seems to be optimal group size.

Now, if we’re doing a member workshop, that member may be doing a workshop for several groups, so there might be a lot more people in the room, in those instances.

Can we call and speak to someone on the phone about the mastermind group?

Absolutely. You can either give us a call or you can go to our link below and you can schedule a time to speak to either Joe Burnich (our other co-founder), or myself.

With that said, during that conversation, what we’re trying to find out is, more about you, what you’re looking for, and explain a little bit more about the meetings.

Also, we like to meet people before their first meeting. As our meetings are on Tuesday mornings, we will log on to the Zoom link 30 minutes early, and we like to speak with our newest members.

We’ll go on there, introduce ourselves, introduce each other, try to get you a little bit more comfortable and let you know what to expect inside the group. Now, with that said, if you still want to click on that link and speak to one of us, absolutely, by all means, go ahead and do so.

What kinds of mastermind meetings are there?

We have several types of meetings, but the big ones are the hot seats.

Now, the hot seats are some of our members’ favorite ones, that is where a member volunteers to take what we call the hot seat. They will get up, in front of their group, and discuss their business and say where they’re having trouble. Then all of us, as a collective group, will help that person out. It can be anything from marketing, to hiring people, to financing.

Regardless of what it might be, you’re going to have a group of people who are going to be there to help you and your business.

Another type of group is a mastermind member workshop. That’s where we have a member whose speciality is in a specific area. We will have them get up and give a member presentation, but we like to keep the presentations roundtable. So there are a lot of questions being asked, it’s not one person standing there for an hour with a PowerPoint deck. We want to keep it interactive. We want to keep it interesting. We want to keep it motivating.

Other days we will have just round table discussions. We might go around the room and talk about, whether it’s marketing problems people are having, or hiring problems.

A good example is when COVID-19 hit, right when everything got shut down. And we did spend a couple of meetings where we were just talking to people, finding out where their headspace was at. “Are you worried? What are other people doing?” So it really will change with the times.

Other meetings are challenges and goals. We do like to set 30 day challenges, something that’s measurable for you and your business. As well as quarterly and yearly goals, and we will check in weekly to see where you’re at with those goals.

And there will be other types of meetings, we are always trying to switch it up, to keep it engaging, to keep it interesting and to keep it from getting stale.

Is this like a Facebook group?

Absolutely not. This is not something where just a couple of people have a voice. This is where everyone in the group has a voice, and we encourage that.

You don’t have to stand up and speak every single day, we understand that some people are very uncomfortable with that. With that said, this is a group where anybody can talk. You get to know these people intimately. You get to understand them, their businesses, you make these friendships. This is nothing like a Facebook group.

Are the mastermind groups moderated?

Yes. In every single group, there will be a moderator. It will be either myself, or Joe Burnich, or someone else. The moderator is there, literally, just to keep the group on time, try to keep the meetings to one hour, and keep them moving.

Who are the ideal members?

The ideal member is someone who’s already a business owner, or an aspiring business owner.

We have people in these groups who have great ideas, but they may be working their corporate job still, and they’re trying to figure out how they can start this business and still do their job, or maybe make that switch.

We have people who are business owners, from one to five years. And we have people who are established business owners, who have sold businesses, who are running multiple businesses.

So we do have people of all levels, but the ideal members are those who are probably in their first five years of business. Those are the people that we have felt we have made the biggest impact on.

Now, just because you’ve had a business for longer does not mean that it would not work. We have people who are established business owners, who have multiple million dollar businesses, who really like to teach.

Is there a minimum commitment?

When you pay your monthly fee, it is strictly that monthly, you can cancel it at any time. If you do go ahead and start with us and you don’t like it, we will refund 100% of that payment to you. It is strictly month to month.
